Situated in the large wildlife preserve of the Kalahari Desert, you will find the picturesque Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.  Nestled between the borders of Botswana, South Africa and Namibia, the Kgalagadi is known for its red dunes and dry river beds, scattered with migrating herds of wildebeest, springbok and black-maned lions.

Visitors to its many lodges and wilderness camps are offered game viewing drives, guided walks and opportunities galore for snapping their own safari photographic memories.

The sheer number of various animals to be photographed, including cheetahs, leopards and different antelope, together with the desert park grass and dunes will leave our guests speechless.  At only $1150 per person sharing, in a group of 4, we will ensure that our clients are able to make the most out of a photographic safari to the magnificent Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.

While the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park does not offer rhino, elephant or buffalo, it sure makes up for it by offering an off-the-beaten-track photographic goldmine, as there are numerous species of raptor birds included to be viewed.

The appeal of the Kgalagadi does not only lie in its beautiful vistas, but also in the choices between up-market lodges and self-catering accommodations, whether you are being guided by a tour guide, or choose to drive yourself.

Morning or sunset game drives, from Twee Rivieren, Nossob, Mata-Mata and the Kalahari Tented Camp are also available, as well as a predator centre and various waterholes, which make for ample opportunities for wildlife photography.

As the largest resting camp, Twee Rivieren is also the Park’s administrative headquarters.  It is here on the banks of the Dry Nossob Riverbed that you will be afforded activities and facilities, such as a shop, fuel stop, a restaurant and swimming pool. Also on offer is 24 hours electricity and fantastic cell phone reception.

The arid areas surrounding the Mata-Mata and Nossob Rest Camps provide popular thorny Kalahari dune bushveld and tree savannahs, and while there is no cell phone reception at these camps, the tranquility and peaceful atmosphere is unrivaled.

Prices: $1150 pp sharing, (4 people sharing)
